Interested in the evolution of the artistic community and its future, Daniel Léveillé recognizes that the main contribution capable of promoting the emergence of today’s and tomorrow’s innovative artists is the continuity of the support they are given. And this support is more significant if it is there when events call for it.
In this regard, Daniel Léveillé danse has pursued since 2005 a unique experimental adventure, that of producing works signed by talented performing artists from the Quebec scene, at the national and international levels.
Antonja Livingstone, Martin Bélanger, Stéphane Gladyszewski, Julie Andrée T, Chanti Wadge and Frédérick Gravel are some such artists with whom the Company has enjoyed a successful association in the past few years.
For the 2011-2012 season, the Company will support projects by Stéphane Gladyszewski, Julie Andrée T, Frédérick Gravel/Grouped’ArtGravelArtGroup and Nicolas Cantin.
Also, the Company will produce works by Marie Béland, Martin Bélanger, Dominique Porte & Alain Francoeur, La 2ième porte à gauche, Martin Messier & Anne Thériault, and Martin Messier/Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, as part of the event Fabriqué à Montréal / scènes contemporaines that will be held in Paris and Vanves (France) in February and March 2012.
